History of a Wedding Dress
Weddings all over the world are special occasions celebrated according to the culture and religion of those getting married. During the marriage or wedding ceremony the woman will wear a special wedding dress or wedding gown. A wedding dress is special and it is worn only once, i.e., during the wedding ceremony. Color, style and ceremonial importance of the gown can depend on the religion and culture of the wedding couple. In Western cultures, brides often choose white wedding dress, which was made popular by Queen Victoria in the 19th century. In eastern cultures, brides often choose red to symbolize auspiciousness.
